Houses of two software engineers robbed in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, June 21 (IANS) In two separate incidents here, the houses of two software engineers were robbed of cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs.17 lakh, police said Sunday.
In the first incident, Atul Tyagi, a software engineer who runs his own business and is a resident of Niti Khand in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad returned home from an outstation visit to find that his front gate lock had been broken and robbers had decamped with jewellery, cash and other valuables worth Rs.15 lakh, police said.

In the second incident, the house of another software engineer Manish Gupta, also a resident of Indirapuram, was robbed of jewellery and cash worth Rs.2 lakh when he too was out of town, police said.

Both incidents came to light late Saturday night when the two software engineers returned home and a case was registered Sunday morning, police said.
