Hot, humid day ahead in Delhi
September 13th, 2011 - 11:58 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS) A hot and humid Tuesday lies ahead for Delhiites with the possibility of light rain in some areas, the Met office said.
The minimum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 27.4 degrees Celsius, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius, he added.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 82 percent.
A total of 2 mm of rain was recorded till 8.30 a.m. in the ridge area of Delhi within the last 24 hours.
Delhi has received 575.1 mm of rainfall this monsoon, against the average of 596.4 mm.
The maximum temperature recorded Monday was 34.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 27.1 degrees Celsius.
