Hot day in Delhi (Lead)

New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) With rains eluding the capital yet again, Delhiites sweltered under hot and humid conditions Thursday, with the maximum temperature at 35.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below average.

The minimum temperature settled at 26.3 degrees, a notch below the average for this time of the season, an Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

Humidity wavered between a high of 86 and a low of 63 percent.

“The sky will be generally cloudy Friday. There is a possibility of one or two spells of rains,” the official added.

The maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may settle at 27 degrees.
