Hockey: India lose 1-2 to Germany in last league match
May 6th, 2012 - 1:10 am ICT by IANSLondon, May 5 (IANS) India put on a spirited performance but went down 1-2 to Germany in their last league encounter of the Four Nation London Olympics Men’s Hockey Test Event at the Riverbank Arena, Olympic Park here Saturday.
India defence and midfield performed well and the eight-time Olympic champions took a 1-0 lead through Shivendra Singh in the 15th minute.
Wesley fired the equaliser in the 27th minute and Florian Fuchs struck the winner in the 65th minute.
