Hoax caller arrested in Delhi
October 8th, 2009 - 8:44 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS) A 26-year-old man has been arrested for making hoax calls to the police control room claiming that bombs have been planted in different places in the national capital.
Ravinder Kumar Tiwari was arrested Wednesday from Wazirabad and two mobile phones and a motorbike were seized from him, police said Thursday.
Police said Tiwari called the police control room Friday and claimed to have planted bombs at various places in Delhi.
“This created a panic situation in the capital and ended up in wastage of precious time of the police force,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar.
