- Bhopal, Nov 27 (IANS) Activists of a right-wing Hindu outfit Friday beat up the author of a book, which they claimed was an “attack on Indian culture”, at a function here.
Activists of Sanskriti Bachao Manch, affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), beat up Rishi Ajay Das, who had written a book “Vivah - Ek Naitik Balatkaar (Marriage - A Moral Rape)”.
Bihar professor Matuk Nath, dubbed “Love Guru”, and his companion Julie who had come to release the book also faced the wrath of the activists.
“As soon as the couple reached Ravindra Bhawan, the activists first tried to rough them up but they were taken inside under police protection. However, the activists caught hold of the writer and beat him and blackened his face,” police said.
