Hindalco Industries quarterly net profit drops 2 percent
February 9th, 2012 - 6:40 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 9 (IANS) Hindalco Industries Ltd Thursday posted a decline of 2 percent in net profit at Rs.450.7 crore for the quarter ended Dec 31 against Rs.460.34 crore during the same period of the previous financial year.
Total income stood at Rs.6,737 crore during the quarter under review up 11.63 percent compared to Rs.6,035 crore during the year ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Aluminium business contributed Rs.2,236.19 crore while the copper business contributed Rs.4,418 crore.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed 1.31 percent down at Rs.158.75.
