Himachal shivers, but Shimla slightly warmer
December 16th, 2011 - 7:00 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Dec 16 (IANS) An intense cold wave saw most parts of Himachal Pradesh shivering Friday but state capital Shimla was slightly warmer, the weather office here said.
The night temperature in Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district, was minus 6.2 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 3.6 degrees, while the temperature was minus 1.8 degrees in Manali in Kullu district and minus 1.2 degrees at Solan town, a meteorological department release said.
Shimla was slightly comfortable with minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees.
The weather office, however, said the state would not see any snow or rain in the coming few days.
