Himachal seeks Rs.1,793.37 crore
November 10th, 2010 - 9:17 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Nov 10 (IANS) Heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh have damaged roads and bridges that would need Rs.1,793.37 crore for repairs, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said Wednesday.
He was talking to the inter-ministerial central team that was on visit to the state to assess the damage.
Dhumal said the state experienced heavy rains that badly damaged roads and also public and private property. Sixty-two people died. He said the monsoon this year broke a 15-year record.
