Himachal has 45,15,604 voters
August 9th, 2012 - 7:51 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Aug 9 (IANS) The number of voters in Himachal Pradesh has increased to 45,15,604 with the inclusion of 65,122 new ones, an election official said here Thursday.
A total of 45,15,604 voters have been registered in the voters’ lists, of whom 23,14,235 are males and 22,01,369 females, chief electoral officer Narinder Chauhan said in a statement.
“Photo electoral rolls for all the assembly constituencies have been published,” he added.
Chauhan said the maximum 86,107 voters were registered in the Sulah assembly constituency in Kangra district, whereas the least 21,890 voters were in the Lahaul and Spiti constituency.
Though elections to the 68-member Himachal assembly are due in December, they are likely to be held in November.
