Himachal Annas end fast

Shimla, Aug 28 (IANS) Hunger strikes in Himachal Pradesh ended their protests Sunday when Anna Hazare called off his fast in Delhi.
Former government employee Lakshmi Chand Thakur, 67, and former engineer Desh Raj Sharma, 41, fasted for 11 and 12 days respectively.
Thakur lost four kilos during his fast during which he survived on water and droplets of honey.
A group of five who joined the fast with Thakur also ended their protest. The story was the same elsewhere in Himachal with hunger strikes ending in Solan, Una, Kangra, Dharamsala, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Chamba.
