October 20th, 2010 - 1:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 20 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Wednesday disposed of a petition seeking an inquiry into alleged corruption in the funding of the 2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG), and noted a government panel was already looking into it.
The petition filed by former Indian Administration Service (IAS) officer Arun Bhatia had sought an inquiry into alleged misappropriation of funds in organising the Oct 3-14 CWG in Delhi.
The bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Manmohan said the petitioner could file documents related to any evidence in the matter before a committee appointed by the government to look into the graft allegations.
However, the bench allowed the petitioner to approach the court after the enquiry.
