Hema Malini, daughters to perform at Khajuraho festival
January 31st, 2011 - 9:14 pm ICT by IANSBhopal, Jan 31 (IANS) Bollywood diva Hema Malini, alongwith her daughters Esha and Ahana Deol, will present an Odissi dance recital on the inaugural day Tuesday of the famed Khajuraho festival of classical dances at Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.The dance programme will begin at 7 p.m. on the premises of the Khajuraho temple in Chhattarpur district. The festival ends Feb 7.
The dance festival, being held for three decades, is organised every year jointly by the culture department and Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet and Kala Academy.
On the second day, kathak, bharatanatyam and mohiniattam dances will be performed. Abhimanyu Lal and Vidha Lal Kathak will present a kathak recital, while Rama Vaidhnathan and Dr. Kanak Rele will perform bharatnatyam and mohiniattam dance, respectively.
