Heavy rains predicted in Himachal
July 8th, 2012 - 8:45 pm ICT by IANSShimla, July 8 (IANS) The hills of Himachal Pradesh may experience heavy rains in the next 24 hours, an official said Sunday.
The rainfall is likely in Kangra, Shimla, Sirmaur, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Solan, Una and Chamba districts, an official at the meteorological office told IANS.
He said the monsoon was active in the state, cutting the maximum temperatures by two to three degrees.
Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district experienced the maximum rainfall of 101 mm in the state. Shimla saw mild spells of rain.
