New Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS) Anna Hazare wants written permission from Delhi Police to continue his fast at J.P. Park and has refused to leave Tihar Jail till then, according to the social activist’s close confidantes Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia.

“Anna ji has said that he had left home for J.P. Park and will go there straightaway to continue his humger strike and won’t leave the jail premises till he gets written permission from the authorities,” Sisodia told reporters after he was relased from Tihar Jail along with four other Hazare supporters.

Another close aide Kiran Bedi said: “Hazare wants no restrictions on his fast and after his release, plans to go to the venue to continue his fast for a strong Lokpal Bill.”

Bedi, who was detained and released by police in evening, said Hazare also wants Section 144 - that prohibits the gathering of five or more people - lifted from the venue, located next to Feroze Shah Kotla ground in the heart of the capital.

Hazare, 74 was detained Tuesday morning ahead of his planned fast-unto-death for a stronger Lokpal bill at J.P. Park.

He was arrested a few hours later when he refused to sign a bail bond and was sent to Tihar Jail along with his key confidante Arvind Kejriwal and other supporters.
