Ralegan Siddhi (Maharashtra), Dec 29 (IANS) Ailing activist Anna Hazare, who reached his hometown Ralegan Siddhi Thursday, has been advised one week’s complete rest by doctors, an aide said.
Hazare, who sat on a three-day fast to press for a strong Lokpal bill, called off his fast Wednesday due to bad health and repeated requests from team members.
“Anna will undergo medical treatment and recuperate before taking further steps and deciding the future course of action to oppose the government’s Lokpal bill,” Hazare’s assistant Suresh Pathare told IANS.
Team Anna is likely to meet in Raleagon Siddhi in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district after Hazare recovers from his fever. Future strategy will be discussed and revealed after this meeting, IAC sources had said earlier Thursday.
Though Hazare called off his fast, he vowed to take on the Congress in all five states facing elections early next year.
