Haryana to re-employ teachers for academic session
May 1st, 2011 - 11:49 am ICT by IANSChandigarh, May 1 (IANS) Government school teachers in Haryana who retire mid-term will now be re-employed in the same school till the end of the academic session so that students are not affected, an official said Sunday.
“Even if the teachers are retiring mid-term, the re-employment will be till March 31 next, when the academic session ends. This re-employment would be need based and made keeping in view factors such as work load and the student-teacher ratio,” a state government spokesman said here.
Haryana Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal has said that principals, headmasters, teachers and junior basic teachers (JBT) would be eligible for re-employment.
“Re-employment would be made from the date of retirement of the teacher till the end of the academic session or till the department is able to fill the post through new recruitment,” Bhukkal said in a statement here.
She made it clear that only such teachers would be re-employed who have no adverse remark or inquiry pending against them during last three years of service.
