Haryana to have new Sainik school

Chandigarh, June 16 (IANS) A new military school will be set up in south Haryana’s Rewari district, Public Works Department Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said Monday. The new Sainik School, the second one in Haryana, will be set up on 51 acres of land at villages Gothra and Tapa Khori at a cost of Rs.250 million.
The village council has decided to donate land for the school which will be located on the Narnaul-Rewari road, Yadav said.
A defence ministry team has already inspected the site and approved it, he added.
The Haryana government will incur a cost of Rs.15 million annually on running the school.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda himself attended the Sainik School at Kunjpura in Karnal district.
