Haryana readies to set up IIM at Rohtak
October 30th, 2009 - 11:27 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Oct 30 (IANS) A memorandum of association for setting up of an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Rohtak town in Haryana was signed Friday between the representatives of Haryana and central government.
“IIM-Rohtak will start from 2010-11 academic session. Haryana government has earmarked 213 acres of site at Granawati village in Rohtak for construction of the IIM building at a cost of Rs.35 crore (Rs.350 million),” said the state spokesperson here Friday.
“The proposed site has been approved by the human resource development (HRD) ministry. Temporary campus of the IIM would start functioning from 2010-2011 in Maharishi Dayanand university campus in Rohtak,” added the spokesperson.
