Hair snipper butchers two women
May 17th, 2011 - 9:44 pm ICT by IANSLondon, May 17 (IANS) A man, who had a fetish for cutting women’s hair without their consent or knowledge in buses or at cinema halls, killed two women before placing locks of their hair around the bodies, a court heard.
Danilo Restivo, 39, killed Heather Barnett at her home nine years after slaughtering Elisa Claps in his native Italy, it was alleged.
According to prosecutor Michael Bowes, QC, Restivo put hair on the women’s bodies in a chilling “hallmark” common to both murders, the Daily Express reported Tuesday.
Restivo battered Barnett to death before cutting her throat, pulling up her clothes and mutilating her body.
He placed a clipping of her hair under her left hand and a lock of another person’s hair in her right, it was claimed.
