Gujarat woman who helped find bombs to be rewarded
July 18th, 2011 - 10:15 pm ICT by IANSGandhinagar, July 18 (IANS) The Gujarat government Monday announced a Rs.25,000 cash reward for a woman who led to the arrest of her husband in the wake of 10 crude bombs being seized a day ago.
Reshma who tipped the police about the cache of arms in the possession of her husband Shehzad Ismail would be rewarded by Minister of State for Home Praful Patel.
Reshma exposed Ismail following a squabble between the couple.
Ismail was arrested Sunday following the alleged seizure of 10 crude bombs from near his home.
The police also recovered 10 cobra knives, country made pistol and 24 cheque books he had hidden.
Originally belonging to Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, Ismail has 13 criminal cases registered against him.
