Goody has successful cancer operation
September 13th, 2008 - 9:27 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 13 (IANS) British television star Jade Goody has had an eight-hour cancer operation that “went well”, her spokesman said Saturday.“The operation went well. She’s got the best people looking after her. She’s had surgery, a radical hysterectomy and the operation lasted eight hours,” said Goody’s spokesman Max Clifford.
The 27-year-old mother of two is in intensive care at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and is expected to begin a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy lasting nine weeks.
Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer last month as she appeared on the Indian version of the British reality show “Celebrity Big Brother”.
