Goods train derails, hit traffic (Lead)
January 8th, 2011 - 6:10 pm ICT by IANSPatna, Jan 8 (IANS) Nineteen wagons of a goods train derailed in Bihar’s Kaimur district Saturday, disrupting traffic to and from Howrah for around for hours.The derailment on the Gaya-Mughalsarai section of the East Central Railway (ECR) in Bihar damaged tracks, railway spokesman Dilip Kumar said.
Tracks got blocked as a few wagons rolled off. “The derailment badly damaged tracks and affected movement of trains,” he said. Some trains were cancelled and others diverted.
