New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS) Designer Archana Kochhar, known for her traditional couture, has launched an exclusive line inspired by Pakistani fashion to celebrate Eid-ul-Zuha, which is on Monday.
“With Eid termed as one of the sought after festivals in India and neighbouring countries when women want to dress up like a princess, I thought of making this collection. It symbolise the passion and meaning of the occasion. It’s time for Pakistani fashion this Eid,” Kochhar told IANS.
Her shelves are glittering with salma-sitara suits, printed shirts with culottes or palazo pants and sherwani suits. She has tried to accentuate her cuts and designs by going for lace detailing and layering with mix and match of prints and patterns.
The designer, who has styled bollywood actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Dia Mirza, Prachi Desai and yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman, has used fabrics like chiffon, lace and cotton in bright colours such as mustard, pink, orange and red.
“If you want to play safe, team the anarkali with crush shirt to channelize a royal look and steal the show at any function. Explore fresh festive shades and inject tonal bling,” the designer added.
Her ensemble is available at her studio in Mumbai at prices starting from Rs.25,000.
