Girl falls into cauldron, dies (Lead)
July 27th, 2011 - 3:56 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, July 27 (IANS) A four-year-old girl in Jharkhand died after falling into a cauldron in which mid-day meal was being cooked for school students, police said Wednesday.
Pushpa slipped into boiling dal in Ursuline Middle School in Sundil village here. It was not clear how she fell, but her distraught mother,
Geeta Khalko, a maid in the school, blamed the school authorities.
The cook was removed but the authorities insisted it was an accident.
A nine-year-old girl died in similar fashion in July 2009.
