Girl drowns in swimming pool in Delhi
July 21st, 2010 - 1:32 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) A 13-year-old girl drowned in the swimming pool of the old campus of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in south Delhi, police said Wednesday.
Amrita Singh, a resident of Vasant Kunj, drowned around 8.45 p.m. Tuesday, a police officer said.
The girl was said to be learning swimming from the last two months in the sports complex situated in old JNU campus.
“We are questioning the coach, other officials and family members to know about the incident. The actual cause of her death will be ascertained after we receive the autopsy report,” the police officer said.
