Girl arrested for burning woman
June 26th, 2011 - 2:54 pm ICT by IANSKurukshetra (Haryana), June 26 (IANS) A teenaged girl has been arrested for burning a woman to death here in Haryana following a row over land, police said Sunday.
The incident happened Saturday in Huldera village, police officer Yashwant Singh told IANS.
Baljeet Kaur, 19, allegedly pouring kerosene over Dhanpati, 50, and set her on fire after the latter won a four acre land Friday in an auction.
Baljeet was furious because her family had tilled the land for years.
