German found dead in Varanasi hotel
February 22nd, 2012 - 2:11 pm ICT by IANSVaranasi, Feb 22 (IANS) A German national was found dead Wednesday in his hotel room in this temple city, and police said he probably passed away in sleep at night.
The middle-aged man was apparently not keeping well for the last few days, a police officer said.
The incident came to light when the waiter knocked his door for morning tea Wednesday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Ram Kumar said the cause of the death appeared to be sickness and foul play was not suspected. But he added that all angles would be explored.
