Gates worried over polio in Pakistan

Islamabad, June 18 (IANS) Microsoft founder Bill Gates has voiced concern about recurring cases of polio in Pakistan.
Gates shared his worries with Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday night, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
He expressed concerns over difficulties in reaching out to the population in the FATA region close to Afghanistan where some polio cases have been reported.
He also mentioned about polio cases in Karachi, interior Sindh and Balochistan, Pakistan’s biggest province, APP said.
Gilani told Gates that Pakistan was committed on eradicating polio. He added that he was personally overseeing the National Emergency Action Plan for Polio Eradication.
