Gang of five nabbed for car thefts in Delhi
April 15th, 2011 - 8:50 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 15 (IANS) Delhi Police have arrested five people for car theft, police said Friday.
According to the police, the gang was also involved in a murder case in the past.
Devi Sharan, 23, Manish, 25, Haarish, 23, Narender, 20 and Rishi, 25, were arrested from Badarpur area in south Delhi Thursday, a senior police officer said.
The gang used to seel the stolen cars through a another man Mukesh, who is absconding, he said. The men used to sell the cars for Rs.35,000 to Rs.40,000, he added.
According to the official, the gang was involved in six car thefts in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana, two robberies and a murder case.
