Four villagers killed by lightning
July 23rd, 2010 - 12:48 am ICT by IANSRaipur July 22 (IANS) Three women were among four people killed by lightning while working in a field in Chhattisgarh, police said Thursday.
The incident took place in a village in Durg district, some 35 km west of state capital Raipur.
Durg district superintendent of police Amit Kumar informed that Lalta Prasad, 28, Kumari Bharti, 18, Devanteen Bai, 55 and Jayantibai Baghel, 42, were killed while a teenager Sekhar and his mother were injured.
