Four troopers feared killed as Maoists blow up vehicle
May 19th, 2010 - 3:14 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, May 19 (IANS) Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were feared killed and two others wounded when their vehicle was blown up in a landmine blast by Maoist guerrillas in Lalgarh belt of West Midnapore district in West Bengal Wednesday.
“We are not sure about the exact number of casualties. But possibly, four CRPF jawans were killed,” Director General of Police Bhupinder Singh told IANS.
Two other CRPF men were wounded in the explosion, which occurred between Pingboni and Ramgarh under Ramgarh police outpost.
Lalgarh is 200 km west of Kolkata.
