Four tonnes of cocaine seized in Spain
January 13th, 2009 - 11:51 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Madrid, Jan 13 (Xinhua) Spanish police have intercepted a ship carrying more than four tonnes of cocaine, authorities said.The ship was located Monday in the province of Galicia in northwest Spain.
Police supported by the customs vigilance service captured the ship as its crew was unloading the cocaine.
The crew abandoned the cocaine and escaped in a boat when they saw the police.
