Four school kids hurt as car rams rickshaw
September 21st, 2010 - 11:00 pm ICT by IANSNoida, Sep 21 (IANS) Four children on their way to school were injured Tuesday when a speeding car hit their rickshaw in Noida, police said.
The children, students of Kendriya Vidyalaya in sector-124, were hit by the car driven by the 18-year-old son of a real estate developer at the sector 12-22 crossing.
Udit, 10, and Meghna, 8, sustained head injuries and the latter a fractured arm while Charu, 9, and Kiran, 8, were bruised all over. The children were taken to a local hospital where they were admitted for treatment. Doctors attending on them said their condition was stable.
“A case of negligent driving has been registered against the driver. We have arrested the culprit and the car has been seized,” Superintendent of City H.N. Singh said.
