Four Pune civic employees killed in Himachal mishap (Lead)

Pune, Sep 26 (IANS) Four employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) died in a road accident near Kullu in Himachal Pradesh Friday and 20 others were injured when a tourist bus they were travelling in skidded off the road while on its way to Manali, it was learnt here.The four dead and the 20 injured were among 54 PMC employees on a visit to some tourist spots in Himachal Pradesh and had hired a bus from Rajguru Transport Fatehgarh, Kullu superintendent of police Jagatram Bharadwaj told PMC Mayor Rajlakshmi Bhonsale.

Bharadwaj gave the names of the four employees as Ankush Garud, Narsimha Joshi, Anil Kohli and Vitthal Jagtap.

One seriously injured traveller has been admitted to the Post Graduate Institute Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, while the other injured are being treated at Kullu, he told Bhonsale.

The PMC is making immediate arrangements to bring the injured employees and the bodies of those killed to Pune, the mayor told reporters here.
