Four people shot dead in Pakistan
September 1st, 2011 - 1:39 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Sep 1 (IANS) Four people were killed when gunmen opened fire at a vehicle in Pakistan’s northwest region Thursday.
The attack took place in lower Kurram Thursday when the gunmen began shooting at the passenger vehicle, official sources told Dawn.
The vehicle was going from the Alizai area to Parachinar when the shooting left four dead and one injured.
Local tribesmen later engaged the fleeing attackers in a gun-battle.
The injured man was admitted to the Kurram Agency Headquarter Hospital, the sources said.
