Four Pakistani prisoners cut jail van floor, escape
August 12th, 2011 - 1:15 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Aug 12 (IANS) Four prisoners escaped in Pakistan’s Punjab province after cutting through the floor of their jail van.
The prisoners were being brought from Adiala Jail to the court of the civil judge in Kotli Sattian town Thursday when they fled after cutting the jail van floor, Dawn reported.
Six police officials on duty have been arrested following the escape.
Mubashir Ahmed, one of the escapees, was re-captured after over three hours.
The prison van was carrying 14 prisoners and was parked outside the court premises when four of the prisoners managed to flee.
