Four of family among five killed in road accident
January 7th, 2011 - 11:23 pm ICT by IANSBanur (Punjab), Jan 7 (IANS) Five people, four of them from the same family, were killed in a road accident involving a head-on collision between a car and a truck here Friday, police said.According to police, the deceased were identified as Anju, 39, her two sons Jatin, 11, and Nitin, 9, Anju’s nephew Aditya, 20, and the driver Sarabjit Singh, 28.
“The deceased were residents of Morinda town, in Punjab. They were going to Ambala (in Haryana) to meet their relatives and to do some shopping,” a police official said.
The bodies were sent to civil hospital in Rajpura for the post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and started investigations, the official added.
