Four of a family murdered in Uttar Pradesh
May 30th, 2010 - 11:26 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, May 30 (IANS) A liquor trader, his wife and two minor sons were found murdered in their home in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut city Sunday, police said.
Narendra Kumar, 45, was found dead Sunday evening along with his wife Sangeeta, 43, and sons Anant, 15, and Chetan, 9, in their Akshat Apartments flat in Lal Kurti area, some 400 km from here.
“Prima facie it appears that the assailants killed the four with a sharp edged weapon. We are still to ascertain any exact reason behind the killings,” Inspector Naresh Verma told reporters in Meerut.
“When no one responded to the door bell of Narendra’s flat, residents of the apartment approached us this (Sunday) evening and thereafter we reached the site and found all of them murdered,” he added.
