Four Maoists involved in killing of 11 security personnel arrested
May 18th, 2011 - 7:37 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, May 17 (IANS) Four Maoist guerrillas, allegedly involved in the killing of security personnel earlier this month, were arrested from Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district Wednesday, police said.
According to police, four Maoists, including one woman, were arrested from a forest in Lohardaga district, 75 km from Ranchi. They were arrested during search operations by police.
The arrested Maoists have been identified as Rehana Khatoon, Sunna, Vishnu and Suduwa. They were allegedly involved in an ambush in which 11 security personnel, including eight Central Reserve Police Force troopers, were killed on May 3 near Dhardhariya forest in the same district.
Police have seized Maoist literature and incriminating documents from the arrested Maoists.
