Four Maoists held in Jharkhand
November 9th, 2011 - 8:00 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Nov 9 (IANS) Four Maoist commanders were arrested in two districts of Jharkhand Wednesday, police said. The arrests come on the day Home Minister P. Chidamabram arrived here to review anti-Maoist operations.
In the first case, two Maoist commanders were held in a jungle in Simdega district, some 110 km from here.
Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed Sanjay Lohar and Chandrashekhar Badaik, both sub-zonal commanders of the banned People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI).
One pistol, live cartridges and some documents were also seized, a police officer said.
Two commanders of another Maoist organisation Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) were held from Patratu area of Ramgarh district. Police also seized one pistol, live cartridges, three mobile phones and cash from the duo.
