Four Maoists held in Chhattisgarh
April 23rd, 2010 - 11:07 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, April 23 (IANS) Four Maoist guerrillas were arrested Friday from a thickly forested area of Chhattisgarh’s restive Bastar region, police said.
A police search contingent raided a forested hamlet Durgkondal in Kanker district, some 320 km south of capital Raipur, and arrested four guerrillas - Sundarlal, Sukalu, Narayan and Kamlesh.
An official here at police headquarters said the rebels were involved in several attacks in Bastar region and that the police were looking for them for the past three years.
