Four killed, six injured in Maharashtra accident
January 27th, 2012 - 7:05 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Amravati (Maharashtra), Jan 27 (IANS) Four people were killed and six others injured Friday in a head-on collision between a jeep and a truck on the state highway near Aasegaon town of the district, police said.
“Coming from opposite directions, the truck and jeep collided with each other, killing four and injuring six. The truck driver is absconding,” an official from Aasegaon Police Station told IANS.
The injured have been rushed to nearby local hospital.
The accident took place on the Amravati-Paratwada state highway, around 60 km from the district headquarters of Amravati.
