Four killed in Uttar Pradesh road accident
December 5th, 2011 - 2:26 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Dec 5 (IANS) Four people were killed and seven critically injured when the car carrying them overturned in Uttar Pradesh’s Etah district, police said Monday.
“The accident took place late Sunday in Awagarh area when a speeding Bolero car turned turtle and fell into a deep pit,” police inspector Shailendra Tyagi told reporters in Etah, some 300 km from Lucknow.
“Of those injured, the condition of five is stated to be serious. They have all been referred to a hospital in Agra,” he added.
According to police, the accident victims are natives of Etah. “They are all relatives and were on their way to attend a function when the accident took place,” added Tyagi.
