Four killed in Peshawar mortar attack
July 15th, 2012 - 4:05 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, July 15 (IANS) At least four people — three children and their mother — were killed in a Pakistani village after a mortar bomb fell on their house Sunday, Dawn News reported.
The mortar attack, occurring in Peshawar’s Shaikhan village, also injured the kids’ father.
The mortar was fired from an unknown location, according to police sources, leading to the house collapse.
According to Online news agency, police said militants had targeted a police check post in the area but the mortar hit the house of a local named Dolat Mir, leading to his wife and three children’s deaths.
