Four kids injured in gas cylinder blast
June 14th, 2011 - 10:29 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 14 (IANS) Four children were injured, one of them critically, and five houses damaged after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a house in north Delhi Tuesday, police said.
“The explosion took place at around 11 a.m. at house number 149 in sector 24 of Rohini area,” said a police officer.
The injured children have been identified as Belu, 4, Jayanti, 14, Dipak, 13 and Rahul, 10. “They were rushed to a nearby hospital where the condition of Belu is critical,” said the officer.
Police said that the strong explosion had affected several adjoining houses.
