Four injured in minor explosion in Thane
July 10th, 2012 - 4:24 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, July 10 (IANS) Four people, including three women were injured in a blast in the Vasai area of Thane district Tuesday morning, police said.
The explosion took place in a garbage bin as curious women, working on a construction site, opened a polythene bag containing some bottles. All injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals where they are being treated.
Onlookers passing by the area said that the explosion took place as soon as the women opened the bottles. The incident caused panic amongst passersby.
However, police arrived immediately and took charge of the situation, dispersing the crowd.
