Four held for selling blackbuck
October 3rd, 2011 - 9:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) Four people were arrested for selling a blackbuck here, police said Monday.
Bhupender, 18, Amarnath, 23, Pintoo Kumar, 21 and Pawan, 24, all hailing from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, were arrested while they were trying to sell the endangered animal near Greater Kailash in south Delhi Monday, a police officer said.
They had allegedly fixed a deal of Rs.1 lakh for the animal which is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.
