Four held for killing man and his four-year-old son
February 28th, 2009 - 10:29 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Panchkula (Haryana), Feb 28 (IANS) Four people were arrested for allegedly murdering a businessman and his four-year-old son and then throwing their bodies into a canal, the police said here Saturday.
Vinod Mittal, 35, and his son, Jashan Mittal, were missing from their home in Sector-16 here since Feb 14, according to the police.
Vinod was a cloth merchant and a financer and had also invested money in the real estate.
“We got the information that Mittal had last gone to meet Raju, a saloon owner here, whom he lent some money. After that, there was no clue on whereabouts of Mittal and his son,” a police official said here.
“We arrested Raju and three of his friends. During interrogation, they admitted killing Vinod and his son. They told the police that after committing the crime they threw the bodies in a canal near Patiala (in Punjab).”
