Four held for illicit manufacturing of Ketamine
June 2nd, 2011 - 10:14 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, June 2 (IANS) Four people, including the managing director of a pharmaceutical company, were arrested Thursday for illegally manufacturing Ketamine, a prescription drug used as sedative, an official said.
Nearly 1,000 kg of Ketamine worth Rs.1 crore were seized, a Directorate of Revenue Intelligence official said.
“Abhijit Konduskar, the managing director of Kamud Drugs in Navi Mumbai, along with three others, has been arrested for illicit manufacturing of Ketamine drug,” the official told IANS.
The company is involved in manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates. The company also dealt in a range of sedatives, anaesthetics and analgesics, the official said.
